Our Program
The Challenge We Address
Across India, societal norms often discourage assertive leadership qualities in girls. This contributes to a significant underrepresentation of women in leadership positions in academia, public life, and the private sector.
Young women are frequently socialized to be accommodating rather than assertive, to prioritize others' needs over their own ambitions, and to avoid being perceived as 'too aggressive' or 'too ambitious'.
Project GameChangers directly tackles this by fostering vital leadership skills from a young age, creating a pipeline of confident, assertive female leaders for the future.
Only 18%
of senior leadership positions in India are held by women
29%
gender gap in labor force participation
76%
of young women report lacking confidence to take on leadership roles
Our Solution
Project GameChangers has developed a unique leadership development platform that combines the sport of Ultimate Frisbee with targeted leadership training to empower young women across India.
Ultimate Frisbee is the perfect vehicle for our mission because it naturally builds leadership skills. As a self-officiated sport (played without referees), it requires players to communicate effectively, resolve conflicts, make quick decisions, and take responsibility—all essential leadership qualities.
Our program pairs this sport-based approach with structured leadership workshops, mentorship, and community engagement opportunities to create a comprehensive development experience.
